Problem Statement

Designing a solution

The moulds
The most critical part while thin wall molds manufacturing is the interrelation between the thickness of the wall and the end of the flow-path. The thinness of the product is accomplished by high cavity pressure. Dependent on the used materials, this cavity pressure is often very high and that causes weariness to occur earlier at the end of flow-path.
The weariness that occurs already after a few million shots at the end of the flow path needs to be moderated by the way the mould is constructed. Momexx has developed a method with different techniques to expand the lifetime of the flow-path.
